Laat je klanten aan het woord om aan iedereen te vertellen hoe goed jij en/of je bedrijf zijn! Wet white As a wet-white the skins are as the name says - still wet. The after tanning required to determine the end characteristics and finishings haven't been applied yet. Usually they are already split to a required thickness. It offers you maximum flexibility when interested to work on the skins to develop own divers set off articles. The skins need to preserved at a cool place an preferable be crusted within 3 months time. The processing into wet-whites is often done in large drums in large quantities. The leathers can be sold to you at different stages in their processing. As wet-white, crust or finished leather. Purchase options Crust In the crusting process final characteristic of the leather are determined: flexibility, thickness, softness, tear strength and often the basic colored is drum dyed. Even then still its possible to make from a basic crust a wide range of divers leathers and colors (usually darker than the base crust not lighter). In considering an own collection of leathers its therefor interesting to look for a base crust and explore the variations. Crusts are dry and can be kept in a shaded dry but airy environment for long times. Crusts are usually been made in smaller drums to enable more diversity in production. The minimum order for horse crusts are 50 skins. Finishings In the finishings ADUU MAL generally uses pigments for coloring in combination with ecological water or oil based finishings without strong coverage but this also depends on the application. Only for small collection ADUU MAL applies Bee wax. In the finishing you can determine if you like embossments, pull up effect or a more even look. The minimum order is related to the minimum crust order. Based on a minimum of 50 crust hides divers finished leathers can be made. In case you like a very dark color next to a very light color two different types of crust will be needed and this effects the minimum order quantity. TOUCHED BY NATURE Leather Coat Leather Horse Hair Yarn ADUU MAL is born from an extremely vulnerable natural environment where seasons can be hoarse. In this surrounding the value not to exhaust or waste is from tradition known to the people, and things given by nature are considered a wonderful gift. Aduu Mal products are a treasure to cherish. Horse Leather It's own specific characteristics Leathers can be made in all types in endless variations. But a cow never becomes a goat and a horse is not a cow. ADUU MAL Horse leathers vary in thickness between 0,9-1,4 (not thicker). It has a special fine and tight grain structure and a good tear strength either when made into stiff standing leather or fluffy flexible leathers. Aduu Mal horse leathers are useful for shoes, bags, jackets, accessories, and upholsteries. Visit the catalog Coat leather Love to touch The furry side of the Mongolian horses are enchanting. In Winter the hair can grow 1 to 2 centimeters in length, they have an attractive shine and a softness everybody loves to touch. The leather side is 2,0 mm thick. Suitable for interior, decoration on bags, shoes, boots and jackets. Kept in natural colors each coat-leather has its own character. Visit the catalog Horse hair A natural shine After a visit to the hairdresser, tail-and mane-hair can be used to make woven textiles, accessories for fashion, interior and brushes. Dark tail hairs are usually more thick, white hairs are relatively hard to get by. Special are the white lengthy tail hairs in use by violinists. The soft character of the manes give these less resilience and in average lengths are shorter. Short lengths of tail hair serve as a raw material for natural airy and resilient mattresses. Visit the catalog Horse hair yarn Much still left to explore We are indebted to Roufitex a former horse hair spinning factory in Roeselare, Belgium. As a family business they developed the technology for spinning the yarns by mixing these with cotton or cotton replacements. Today their machines are in use in our factory in Mongolia. Textiles made from these yarns are traditionally used hidden as lining but certainly new applications and yarn blends are waiting to be discovered to bring the beauty of this type of textile to the surface. Visit the catalog Other natural fibers and leathers from Mongolia Aduu Mal support We work closely with local cooperatives and herders who have other natural fibers and wool to offer. These can be supplied and included in our systematics of traceability and responsible animal husbandry. And if desired be processed by partner companies. Contact us No product Sustainability Traceability ADUU MAL places the herders and their natural surrounding at the core from which all expands: from sourcing to production to distribution, sales to end-users. The ADUU MAL protocol is for the full-chain embedded in our running application for ISO 45001 / Health & Safety, 14001 / Sustainability, 9001 / Quality management - 2021. Natural diversity The economic well-being of the herders strongly correlates with the feasibility to preserve the natural divers eco-system. A healthy economic balance is required to be able to effectively ban hunting on rare speeches; to stop the incentive to ever enlarge livestock and mono-culture resulting in overgrazing and not necessarily more protein; and to create enough resilience to respond on climate change. Renewable resources Adopting only "natural products" (what is natural?) in the process doesn't necessarily lead to a more sustainable approach. ADUU MAL has narrowed down its focus on the impact on waste management (non-toxic and as much biodegradable as possible) by the use of products from renewable resources, responsibly harvested. In practice this means avoiding; the use of metals; solvents from the petrochemic industry; use of PVC, PU acrylates and it requests being critical on the farm-origin of organic tanning and finishing agents. Animal welfare Animals are raised within a typical pastoral "traditional" life-stock system. The horses live semi-wild as the have freedom to look for grazing areas up-to 40 km from the families homes. The cooperatives work together with local veterinarians on improving health monitoring systems to recognize illness, and manage water or food shortages in certain seasons. To secure a close and human relation between people and their animals they seek for a balance between the adoption of new technology and traditional methods. In support of this ADUU MAL does not source from abattoirs and is determined to work with suppliers managing a divers life-stock of a responsible size. Water & electricity As processing takes place in a surrounding with annually increasing droughts, ADUU MAL is destined to limit the water usage to the utmost. Aside general methods for minimizing the waste residues in the water and enabling recycling ADUU MAL more fundamental adopted a for the water waste less harmful technology using also significantly less water: it's free of the use of metals, reduces the use of sulfites, and reduces the use of salt by skipping the pickling process. ADUU MAL's influence on the use of electricity is limited in managing the production time and process. As yet Aduu Mal is not in the position to organize an independent natural energy source. People Sustainability is part of an ongoing process and starts with a specific mind-set: the suggestion to be able to take possession and full control is the weakest link in a sustainable value chain. Nature is flexible and natural behaviour is responsive. ADUU MAL acts accordingly by staying aware, and stimulating transparency in communication amongst our workers, suppliers and partners. As a company ownership is with us all and should be for the benefit of us all. ADUU MAL cares for feasibility, honesty and understanding. ADUU MAL is proud to work with cooperatives that recognize the importance of educating young herders and actively initiate research. Request our 2021 sustainability protocol

Horse yarn Much left to explore Instead of making naked tail interlining cloth restricting the size of the woven textile to the length of the hairs, it's possible to use a softer alternative based on spun horse manes or tail hair in combination with (organic) cotton. By spinning a long yarn is created suitable for making large textile surfaces. The tail hairs are more firm and can have pin-out at the ends whereas the manes are softer. Non-dyed the colour selection will be similar to the basic natural hair colours: white (Snow Lotus), brown/black (Wild Rose), grey/light-brown (Wild Lily). Brushed by the wind N. Dijkstra Dit is een citaat uit een recensie. Laat je klanten aan het woord om aan iedereen te vertellen hoe goed jij en/of je bedrijf zijn! Purchase options The yarns are sold from Aduu Mal factory stock in Mongolia. For woven textile Aduu Mal seeks cooperation with European/ Asian and / or Mongolian partner textile companies. Yarn blended with cotton The traditional product is a mix with (organic) cotton. Aduu Mal produces "Edelweiss" yarns of Nm8 and Nm12. Weight of one spindle 2 kg.
