Instead of making naked tail interlining cloth restricting the size of the woven textile to the length of the hairs, it's possible to use a softer alternative based on spun horse manes or tail hair in combination with (organic) cotton. By spinning a long yarn is created suitable for making large textile surfaces. The tail hairs are more firm and can have pin-out at the ends whereas the manes are softer. Non-dyed the colour selection will be similar to the basic natural hair colours: white (Snow Lotus), brown/black (Wild Rose), grey/light-brown (Wild Lily).

Yarn blended with cotton
The traditional product is a mix with (organic) cotton. Aduu Mal produces "Edelweiss" yarns of Nm8 and Nm12. Weight of one spindle 2 kg.

Interlining is the traditional application of horse hairs mixed with cotton, but alternative blends of yarns certainly creates new possibilities and textiles for interior and accessories still left unexplored.
